Make teaching interesting
I studied in SJK(C) La Salle, SK Seri Setia, and I’m now studying in SMK Sri Sentosa. I can see that different teachers use different methods to teach.
For example, the English Language teacher in my present school Yap Wen Sin uses an interesting method of teaching.
She discusses the answers with us before we write them in our exercise books. By doing this, we have less red marks in our books. There is always laughter in the class and everyone pays attention and enjoys her lesson.
In my opinion, her way of teaching should be taken as an example for others to follow. We do not feel bored or sleepy when she is teaching.
A teacher is a role model in society. But to be role models, teachers must make sure students pay attention in class.
Therefore, teachers have to take steps to see that their ways of teaching are effective. If teachers succeed in doing this, I'm sure the students will enjoy school life and pay extra attention to their studies.
I agree that the newspaper is the best platform to learn English. I love my English teacher Yap Wen Sin's way of teaching that requires us to find a news article every week for transcription. We have to copy the article and find the meanings of words in the passage.
I agree with my classmates in Form 1A3 that SMK Sri Sentosa has teachers who are experienced and use the latest techniques in teaching. The teachers here are like friends who give us support and advise us. They also teach us what is good or bad.
We would like to say thank you to all the teachers for their dedication. Keep it up! If we have done anything wrong, we are sorry. Please forgive us.
Six years from now, when we further our studies, we hope that we can still keep in touch. Please don't forget all of us here. We truly love you!
