We thank Almighty God for the life of our Founder Datuk Bro.Lawrence Henry Spitzig. We will always treasure his contributions, his words of wisdom and most of all his passion in educating minds and touching the lives of the many students and teachers of La Salle PJ.
Datuk Bro.Lawrence Henry Spitzig passed away on 18th August 2009 in Assunta Hospital Petaling Jaya. The funeral service was held on 20th August 2009 at St.John's Cathedral, Jalan Bukit Nanas,Kuala Lumpur.

MELAKA: From his first assignment at Singapore's St Joseph's Institution in the late 1930s till helping out marginalised and poor children in the rural and interior regions of Sabah following retirement in 1983, 91-year-old Datuk Bro Lawrence Spitzig’s passion for education seems endless.
